#1000Speak For Compassion
So many different voices, so many different ideas all coming together to collide on one day, TODAY! Maybe if we can fill the World with love for just this one day…who knows maybe, just maybe, it will be the beginning of the change we all need.
Take away the hate, the prejudices, and the violence and in its place put in love, compassion and empathy and imagine what that would look like. It’s time to make a change and what better way to start…
WHAT DOES COMPASSION MEAN TO ME?
It means taking care of people and animals who can’t take care of themselves.
It means to run towards trouble instead of away and do whatever you can to make it better.
It means to treat people the way we would want to be treated. Respect ourselves and each other and most of all put good into the World instead of bad. Be a positive impact, not an implosion.
Take your head out of your computer or phone and really look at the world around you. What can you do to make it a better place? How can you help? There are lots of ways…
Check on an elderly neighbor, friend or relative. Sit and visit, shovel their driveway or mow their grass.
Remember a caregiver in your life. Take them lunch, give them some respite time or just call and tell them you are thinking of them. It’s a lonely life, be a friend.
Help a new and overwhelmed mom. Watch the babies and let her take a shower, a nap or just a breather.
Help a hurt friend, walk their dog, get their mail.
Stop when you see someone broke down on the side of the road. Be safe but also be helpful.
Walk for a charity or get donations another way, have a car wash or bake sale.
Donate school supplies to your local school.
Donate baby items to your local N.I.C.U.
There are as many ways to show compassion as their are people sharing those ideas today over 1200! Whatever you do just make a choice. Choose a way and make a positive impact on someone in some way. Look around you see a need and fill it. It doesn’t matter how, it just matters when. If we fill the world with as much compassion as we can… can’t we make a difference? Let’s all give it a try. I will…will you?
Appreciate the good, laugh at the crazy, and deal with the rest.
I love you momma!
