Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
At the end of this post, you’ll find links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them all out, see what words they got and how they used them.
I’m using: rotation ~ glasses ~ full-time ~ taste ~ energy ~ float

It’s spring time and I am so excited to be able to get outside and play in the yard and I do mean PLAY. It takes A LOT of energy to keep up with 2 two-year-olds. My backyard is littered with Tonka trucks and sandboxes and I love every second of it. Of course, hubby does all of the heavy lifting, but it takes quite a few hands.
I’m ready for grill outs and days at the pool. I want to teach them to swim. I think it’s very important and something I did with my own children when they were the same age. The best way to prevent a disaster is to know what to do if something does happen. So, I’ll teach them to float on their backs first and then we’ll go from there. It’s up to them.
Momma loves to swim so I plan on taking her as much as possible. Water is life for me. When my body is submerged in the water my bones don’t hurt. I don’t feel pain. I wish I was a mermaid for real. I once saw a meme that said, “IMAGINE YOUR JOINTS ARE SLOWLY BEING PULLED APART. NOW IMAGINE THAT YOUR NOT IMAGINING.” It was written by someone named “RA Guy”. I’ve never been able to explain it any better than that.
It’s been a full-time job managing my symptoms, but I recently went through the infusion treatment again and it caused a flare-up. Like the old saying goes, “It will get worse before it gets better”. I’m excited about the “better”. Easter is Sunday and I’m excited to cook for my family. Summer begins and ends with potato salad, baked beans, and deviled eggs. Only the meat is in the
Summer begins and ends with potato salad, baked beans, and deviled eggs. Only the meat is in rotation. If I were known for anything “cooking wise”, besides burns, cuts, and other major screwups, it would be my potato salad and deviled eggs. They taste pretty good if I do say so myself. We had a family grill out for momma’s 81st birthday and had a great time. It’s so nice to have a fenced in back yard so the kids can run free. No potato salad though, not before Easter!
I’ve been working full time on a massive project and I can’t wait to tell you all about it…but not yet! I only have glasses left on my list of words and I need a new pair so that works outs! I want to get back to writing more, but I’m learning when you have your own business there is ALWAYS something else that needs to be done whether it’s client work, marketing yourself, paperwork, etc…etc…
I’ve also heard that if you love your job, then you never work a day in your life…that’s also true! Links to the other “Use Your Words” posts:
